What county do you chase the gobblers at in the spring?

Previous years I have hunted Defiance,Williams,Vinton,Athens,Coschoctan,Musking um

Last spring I hunted Morgan and Hocking Counties. Didnt score but had lots of fun.

This year it will be Morgan and Ross I believe. There is also a chance of Auglaise.

I think I only saw one group of turkeys this deer season, but where I hunt for turkeys is not the same spot I hunt for deer. I also have to keep in mind the season was shortened this year for me, stopped in the Middle of November!!!!!

Though we do not hunt within talking or seeing distance, it is nice to have my dad to talk to after hunting. Also, it is more safe to have a partner who knows where you will be hunting in case something happens. It is also nice if you do get one then you have helpl dragging it, dressing it, etc. Yep, dad and I have a good time!

Yesterday I went out and saw two flocks of turkeys, one really close to where I hunt. There were probably 20 in the first flcok and 10 in the second flock. It got me pumped. They weren't scared and I even had a dog with me! It was pretty cool, I got about 100 yards from them. I also saw two groundhogs and a coyote.

I never hunted the area, Just know my way around,(work for the highway dept),I know some people from this area. One buddy I work with that lives in unity see a lot of birds in the unity area. I usually hunt about 25 miles south of unity in the Blue Creek area, I am just 10 minutes from Shawnee State Forest.
