I just got home and im gettin ready to leave. just gotta grab the .22 and take off. Let me know if u guys do any good.

Out this morning, but no luck. The woods are so thick with underbrush and the leaves are so thick, seeing a squirrel would be impossible. Since I own these woods I need to find a way to get rid of some of the underbrush.

Went out this morn for honkers, lots of birds flying around but no luck. We tried pass shooting as they came off a lake but some other guys had a better position. I guess we'll get the decoys out tomorrow. Oh well, get em next time. An AWESOME morning though, saw hawks, ducks, doves, and even a big 'ol mature eagle. Nice start to the hunting season

Im going out for some bushy tails in about six hours. I gotta get done with some work. I cant wait to try my new .17HMR :D

I didnt see any squirrels this morning but I saw alot of deer. At least I didnt spook any of them. The trees are still thick and its pretty hard to see any squirrels. Ill try again tonight though.

I never saw a single squirrel yesterday. Not in the morning, not in the evening. Just saw alot of deer.

Of course there's nothin wrong with that

Me and pa went out yesterday he got a grey squirrel but I didn't get me one, but I know I'll get me one.

I had the same problem with brush since last year's ice storm. I was clearing as much as I could but it got away from me. I finally rented a bobcat to cut trails and clear a food plot. Best $300.00 I spent on the land yet...

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe next year. It's a lot more hilly here than Cincy, so might not work as well.

Yesterday my buddy and I hunted and both limited on geese by 7:50...Today my buddy didn't wake up so I hunted by myself and limted in about the same time...Could been done really quick but chose not to shoot the large flocks to keep from educating the birds. Passed up 5 large flocks that swung in close to the decoys and scratched my limit outa 2 small flocks that came in feet down commiting suicide.

Lousy day yesterday (Monday), first time out for me this year. No doves, and no squirrels at Berlin Lake Wildlife Area. (But I did shoot my bow at the archery range there, so at least I got to shoot something, even if it was only a hay bale.)

There were a lot of hunters out, though, but not much gunfire. Anymore it seems to me that except perhaps for deer in selected areas, the wildlife areas in NE OH are just about hunted out.

I would have gone to the private land I usually hunt, but I didn't want to intrude on the landowner and his family on the holiday. Next weekend, though, look out!

Is it public? I still have the info. you gave me on that private land, but didn't you say he was selling it?

That place is sold, but I know another place just a few miles from there that you could probably hunt. Private land

I'm in the same boat. It's very disappointing, but don't worry about it. I've only gone one day so far, plenty of time left to go.
