I've been at the scouting pretty hard the last few weeks, on some private ground and lots of public ground. Got some freehand digital pics through my spotting scope this week of some nice bucks feeding in a soybean field just around the corner from some property I have access to hunt. Thought some here might be interested to see them. Picture quality is not great (it was almost dark) and I had to play with them some in my photo program to make them good enough to see, but there are definitely some quality bucks in the group. The rub pictures are all from public land in SE Ohio.

Enjoy!

The second to last buck photo, the buck on the left, is he really as wide as he looks, or is the side of the spotting scope making him look wider?

Nice pics Ashridge. You have been busy scouting big time. I have no doubt that you'll get a few good looks this upcoming fall. Good luck buddy!

Great, I just saw this post and I am at work right now. Man, I want to get out into the woods so bad. I think I feel a cough coming on. I better go home :D

Very nice pics. Good luck this year.

Now that's what you call a good spot. I'd post some pictures of deer in my spot I took while scouting this summer, but I can't figure out how to put them on here. Maybe somebody can help me out with this.

Here we go, I think I figured it out. These bucks aren't as big as the ones in ashridge's pictures, but I thought I'd give y'all a little looksee. I took these pictures while scouting in early July. They have plenty of soybeans and corn to eat much to my cousin's dismay so I think they should get a little bigger before they get done growing.

I think these bucks are still kind of young. I'm thinking most of them are three year olds, but I'm still not very good at determining age. I don't know if I should shoot one of these guys if I get the chance this year or not. I don't know if you guys can tell by the pictures or not, but let me know what you think.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, but it'll be hard if one of the bigger ones walks under my stand.

I'd guess the middle one to be 3.5 and the two outside deer to be 2.5
