I finally got a NEW Swittchback. I originally bought a used one that I thought was pretty good. Then I found out my wife had put a 2nd one on layaway. Well, I decided to sell the first one earlier this week and I got the new one yesterday. All I can say is WOW! This one shoots better than the first, much smoother and quieter. I was hitting a 2 inch circle from 20, 30 and 40 yards. I'm using a Vital Bow Gear Trapper 3 pin sight, Mathews Convertible arrow rest, and Gold Tip Pro Hunters which will be tipped with Slick Trick 100 grain broadheads. Man I can't wait till October 1st.

I love my SWITCHBACK !!!

I shot an African Safari 3d Shoot with it today and It did its Job, I just didnt do my job.

I wasnt use to the small size targets and i kept over estimating the distance and either hitting high or even on a couple shots shooting right over their back.

But all in all I had a good time today, just wasnt real happy with my shooting.

I guess I have to practice judging distances a little more often than I do.

I think the huge Rineharts from last weekend messed with me a little.

But I shot pretty decent on the Rinehart range.
I averaged 9.2 on 100 targets
No range finder and one shot at each target, NO MULLIGANS !!!!

I actually seen some guys using a range finder and guys telling each other what they shot it at for the next shooter to compensate and even seen guys taking a couple of shots at a target and scoring the better hit.
Where is the HONOR at ????

Left to right is great, always in line with the scoring rings, just gotta do my part with the distance estimation.

You will love your new SWITCHBACK !!

Congrats !!!

Sounds like you were shooting the 3D course just like real hunting conditions, no time for a range finder and NO mulligans. Believe me, there was one deer about 3 years ago I wish I could get another crack at. BTW,
I DO love my SB

I thought the whole idea behind 3d shooting was to Guess the yardage the animal was at, to take one arrow and take one shot and whatever the outcome was what you scored it as.

I sure would like to buy a new bow. The Switchback sounds awesome as do the Bowtech bows. I hope to be able to buy one next summer, but I doubt it. The one I have now works really well. So, I'll stick with it for this season.

CG,

I really shouldn't have bought a new bow, but I was able to sell my Legacy to my brother for $500 w/ everything, so it lessened the pain a little. Today I just put the whisker biscuit back on the bow. I was having trouble with the Mathews drop away rest I put on. The Blazer vanes I use were htting the prongs on the rest. Today it took about 1/2 hour and I had it zeroed in with field points and broadheads at 20 yards. :D

The only beef I've heard about them is that the broad head cut out on the risor is smaller. I've read and met a few people that have had issues with this.

Thunder,

the proshop I bought my arrows from actually cut them 1/2 inch longer than normal because of that. If you use mechanicals you would probably be OK. However, now that I have everything in tune, its a sweet shooter. I put an STS on mine Friday and what little noise there was is just about gone.
