Got notification from my uncle that he just closed the deal on 100 more acres in eastern Harrison county. The new property joins his farm , bringing the total to just a little over 350 acres. The new property is mostly hardwoods with a pretty decent sized soybean field. We have dreamed of hunting this piece for several years. It always seemed to hold some big deer and hasn't been hunted for numerous years. I plan on going over to take a look around and I will definately be putting on of my trusty ladder stands in there within the next couple weeks. Oct. 1st sound good to anyone else here?

The deer hunting is great down there. Basically pick and choose which deer you want to take.

thanks,
I try to check out several new places each year when I go but Ohio has so much to offer, there's a lot of em I haven't looked at yet.
Closest I've been to there is Salt Fork.

I have not had a chance to make it over to scout thus far. I may try to make time Sunday. I am really excited about the opportunity to hunt this new tract. Thank you guys for the support.
lacure,
I see you are from central Ohio , how did you ever get steered so wrong in life to post GO BLUE on OHIOsportsman.com??? Must have been a traumatic childhood that turned you to the dark side. Oh well 3 or 4 losses doesn't bother us Buckeye fans as long as we kick the snot out of those Wolverines like the Buckeyes did last year. Now we are even!!:D :D

Went out to the local Wally world last night and picked up a new Ameristep 15' ladder stand. I also got some new gear hangers for my stands. I plan on putting up some stands later this week. Oct. 1 will be here before you know it.
