Yeah, and they ought to open a season on Robins and Cardinals too!

The only critters that should be open season in the spring is turkey, coyote and groundhog.

Well I don’t start hunting groundhogs until the end of may when the babies are old enough to get by on their own. Just adds to the available targets.

As far as coyotes I don’t hunt them until their fur is prime. I start in Nov. and stop when they start mating in Feb. I feel they are a very valuable game animal and fur bearer. I also don’t believe they are such a threat to farm animals as some would like to say. If you get some that start taking farm animals I think trapping is far more effective than calling and
shooting.

But then I am sure there will be some who will disagree with me on this. I guess I feel all wildlife deserves respect.

Well said buckrun could not agree more,But i never gave the ground hog thing a thought.So June first in good to go then???
