Can anyone recommend any good places to fish from shore (besides the pier that I see on the map) at Acton Lake at Hueston Woods State Park? I'll be in Oxford the week of 05/16, and thought I'd check out the park and drown a few worms during my free time.

Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello
I just found your post. Maybe you can use this info in the future.
1st. Park in the peer parking lot, then take the trail to the left. Go to the corner, where the bay circles around to the beach. The Big Bluegill spawn in this area close to the wood. Use light wire hooks so snags come out a bit easier. Have caught cats and carp also.
2nd. The dock behind the lodge holds some nice crappie and bass.
3rd. I don't know exactly how to get there, but found it from the boat. There is a service road, between the dam and the fishing peer. It has a nice open area and never see anybody there. You can walk from there to the pine trees on the right. There is always boats fishing in front of the pines...must be good.
4th. The dam area has fish attractors along that end. Always easy and open bank fishing.
Hope this helps in the future.
