vermilion steelhead

im headed to the v friday to see if any steelhead are still there. if not i hope to get some small mouth. anybody catch any lately since the river came down

I've not been out but word has it there's still a good number around and this cold weather should keep them here till we get a really good warm up. I doubt I'll get out for steel again this spring unless I'm really lucky. I'm planning on hitting PA for trout in a couple weeks.

i landed 4 steelhead, lost two others. two of the fish were 30 and 32 inches, the two biggest steelhead i landed with a fly rod

With this warm weather were getting now I'm betting they'll be getting out of the rivers pretty quickly now. guess it's time to go catch some browns!
