How do roads affect Gobblers as far as crossing them to get to a hen? I've got tons of Gobbles across the street, and I cant hunt it until I ask permission from the landowner tomorrow. Didnt see the owner to ask him today, but I was wondering if I could effectively call and get one of em to cross the road. I had a few hens on my side of the road this morning, but the birds gobbled once each prolly as they left the roost, and then shut up. Plenty of crows and dogs to shock call them, but nothing. They in my opinion dont seem real keen on chasing tail. Any input is greatly appreciated.

As long as there isn't a big ditch on either side of the road then, yes they will cross. However, if they already have hens then your probably SOL.

If there is more than one and it seems you have indicated there are several(tons of gobblers) then your odds are a little better than if it was only 1 over there. A subordinate tom or even a jake might break off from the flock to come check out the sweet hen yelp, clucks and purrrs that you throw out. Good luck!!!

Oh yeah, do NOT over-call. Sometimes less is more!

Well on saturday I was coming back from g-hog hunting and there was a turkey in the median of route 30. I went by today and it was laying dead. So if you do call them to the road, just hope they make it across alive!!!
