hey lance i have been tying alot of the prince and hares ears nymphs, thanks for the recipe...i fished this last weakend in some lakes for bluegills, i fished an olive micro jig 1/100 of a ounce. we brought home 60 over 8 inches and vary thick body fish, and a 12 inch bluegill that weigh at 1 pound 8 ounces, it was 6 and 3/4 from back to belly..after that we decided to break out the fly rods and been slayin the big bulls on a combo rig stimulator on top and a haresear about 7 inches under that...the action was vary hot and fun espicialy on a orvis 4 weight...any other recipes you think i ought to try give me a hollar.....thanks for the help...

WOW, sounds like you've got some great gill fishing!
Here's a pattern that sould work pretty well. It's a trout pattern from MI that works well on gills here but hasn't caught trout for me anywhere but MI and out west. It's called a Skunk and can be tied with or without the bead. There's also a dry fly version of it.

It's a pretty simple tie:
Hook - standard
Size - #8 - #12
Thread - black 6/0
Legs - white rubber
Tail - white calf tail
Body - black chenille
Wing case - deer hair tied in and pulled forward over top.
