Heard they are gobblin good in the SW part of the state. I'm heading down to SE OHio this week to scout.
i saw a group of thirty birds this morning in a not picked bean field about a hundred yds, from the road.once i stopped they got nervous and started heading back to the woods.but some toms were out there struttin around ,it was only about a mile from home,so i may have to check on getting the ok to go in there. time is near.......

Saturday at daybreak they were gobbling from all directions down in Jefferson Co. A nice sign of spring.

I saw 25 turks while driving in Mahoning Co on Sat. I stopped the car and let out a few clucks. They gobbled in response. I can't wait

I am going out scouting Saturday morning. I hope they are gobbling in Tuscarawas County.

I was in Morgan & Noble Counties yesterday and today and did not see or hear a single bird......might have been the weather?!?!
This morning it was calm after a night of light rain but had a sharp nip in the air. I was out until almost 11:00 am and heard nuttin!
