Yours truly received a lot of mail again about our beloved Mogadore
Reservoir. An intriguing number mentioned they'll be monitoring the
situation and will keep me directly appraised of the conditions during the
year. Mogadore's Bob Vela seemed particularly anxious to acknowledge
changes, positive or negative. I won't betray your trust, guys, and here's
hoping we're being too cynical...

One of the most unique sporting events in Ohio each year will again appear
in our general area, this year in Howland. This spectacle will showcase the
talents of the most extraordinary marksmen in the nation.
Visitors will see precision air rifle marksmen hitting the center of a
target no larger than the head of a pin from a distance of 33 feet. This
achievement is challenging enough, but every one of these shooters possess
a physical disability, and will be performing from a wheelchair.
The "Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital 600" will take place at Chip's Sports
Center, located at 9139 East Market Street in Howland. The competition will
commence at 8 a.m., with the final set of marksmen going to the line at 6
p.m.
More info may be obtained on this exciting and inspiring event by calling
Colleen Connolly at 330-841-3845.
