Governor Bob Taft was recently rated by the Cato Institute as the worst governor in the country (#50, folks!) due to his fiscal policy. Do you think this is a deserving rating of our state's Chief Executive, or not?

If #50 is as worse as it gets, than yeah he deserves it.
The man is a crook.
Yes I know that there're only 50 states. :D

on a scale of 1 to 10,i'd rate him about -15.that's about 85th out of 50 states,so i think he was given too much credit

i can't believe his grandpa ain't crawled out of the ground and beat the hell out of him.
the only good thing i can think of,about him,is next election he'll be lookin' for a new job:cool:
hopefully it ain't a government job

I told him there were 50. He looked at me oddly, and i told him Hawii and Alaska..........he said, oh, those are states now?

Well he for sure-enough lacked the GNads to bite the bullet to make the tough choices to put Ohio on the road to recovery, so he deserves to be rated lower than a Well-diggers A$$...

That reminds me of a story. A guy I use to work with was at the county fair. They had this little zoo you could go look at some excotic animals. They had a zebra in one of the pens. There was a young couple looking at the zebra. She said "what is that?" He says I think it is some kind of horse.....

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Taft supporter. But the reason Taft has raised taxes is because the states are not getting as much funding from the Washington. I think he is getting the shaft on that one. I am not a guy that follows the government. I may knot know what I am talking about. But that is what I have been told. If I am wrong fill me in!

That is the correct picture of what Taft was handed comin' into office along with rust-belt job losses ..
My Gripe is that I & many other taxpayers knew Ohio had to bite the bullet w/taxes, pork-barrel reforms & ect. ~ but Taft played political games to keep his political friends happy while the State went further down the drain till his do-nothin' pork-barrel policies hit rock bottom w/a empty piggy-bank & IOU's ~ now we have the panic taxes flyin' left & right ... I do feel as far as the ODNR that user fees should be paid by ALL users & not just the past payees .. nobody get a free ride on my coin$
