Maumee River Updates

Since the walleye run is basically upon us I figured we could give updates whenever possible. Weather permitting, I'll be heading up for the first time later this week. Has anybody heard of any fish being caught yet? I know there had to be some fishermen up there trying it this past weekend.

My brother in law fished all weekend, this past week. He only caught 1 walleye. Caught 2 suckers and snagged 2 suckers. Said water was freekin' freezin. Said he was told by guys at Maumee taclke to wait till river gets up to 40 degrees.

Fished yesterday at Orleans park from 7:45 till 9:15 am. Never had a bite. Went to maumee tackle afterwords and he said he saw 3 walleye over the weekend and heard of a few others. Went to the website this morning and the update said more fish were caught yesterday where I was trying after the water warmed up. Some more were caught up river about a mile also. I'll be heading out again either tomorrow or thursday. I'll post my results.
