May not be your cup-o-tea, but get some hunting books to read. I did that last year at this time. I learned quite a bit and have quite a bit more to learn. Learn something new to apply to your next adventure. I'm in the process of gathering information on building my own longbow. I'm going to help my grandpa build a shed.
Don't give up on shed hunting. Keep at it. I've gone through all my hunting gear and organized it and got rid of all my junk.
As CG already said, "There's always beer." Don't miss out on the next "meet and greet."

Little NASCAR always helps me. Sighting in the guns for ground hogs, wood working projects and just hanging with friends. Can't wait for turkey season

Been watching nascar, I'm new at shed hunting but having alot of fun at it. Talked to Dad and he brought home some materials to make 3 more treestands so that'll keep me busy for awhile. Plan on ordering Ted Nugent's Blood Trails I and Blood Trails II of his site. Bought some new toys for next season at cabelas, guess I'm just stir crazy! lol

Thanks for advice guys!

What type of material? Wood or metal? What kind of treestands do you make?

We make hang on stands out of stainless steel. My dad has 'FRINGE BENEFITS" where he works. Actually we build it out of scrap that they don't mind if people use just as long as they aren't recycling it. I have to say our stands are as comfortable as almost any basic stand on the market. They aren't quite as lite but we just haul'em out to the woods on a cart or an ATV.

We actually make our own Climbing sticks that disassemble too.If I can, I'll post a picture of our stands after we build them. We've got 10 stands or so that we make ourselves. Some are 10+ yrs old and they hold up just fine.
