Spinning off the current taxidermy thread, I'm compelled to ask if any of you guys in the Cuyahoga Falls/Akron area took your deer to Falls Outdoor Sports in Cuyahoga Falls to be processed? The 101 on the company is that it was owned by a gentleman in the area and operated under another name; and it was bought/acquired a couple years ago by others who own a taxidermy shop near the store. (The previous owner is a fine gentleman and a member of this forum. Locals will know who I'm talking about.) This past year the taxidermy end of the business attempted a deer processing operation, and when I had my deer tagged at the store they offered their services. Not knowing anyone else in a convenient radius of town (they were my first deer in Ohio since moving from PA), I took them up on their verbal ad. To make a potentially long story short, the meat is good, and I assume it's mine, and that assumption is a small part of my issue. I have some issues with their practice and customer service, and will be happy to air my grievances in greater detail, but first I'd like to know if anyone else around my area who is a part of the forum had any experience with these folks this past year. I don't mean to complain or be difficult, but, well, you know.

Thanks.

No, I'm not Jack Kiser. Anybody else used Falls Outdoor Sports?

I use Falls Outdoor Sports for a lot of my fishing gear. It's true that I pay a little more for gear that I buy there, but, I like to do business with the little guy. I have never had a deer processed there. But I have seen some of there taxidermy and it is of good quality.
The people that run the store have always been very helpful. If they don't have an item in stock, they will get it for you within a couple of days.
