If you were going to buy a new or used 4x4 atv, which brand would you buy and why.

I'd say Honda. We have 3 right now and I like them. Not that I have something against other manufacturers, I've just had good luck with Honda.

Countyroad,
Which model or models do you have? I used to be an atv mechanic.

Yamaha Grizzy. I previously owned a Yamaha, worked it beyond capacity and it rarely let me down. Now I have a Polaris and I have continuous problems. Each issue typically costs me $ 200 for a trip to the repair shop. Back to Yamaha on the next bike.

Eschatts,
We have two 4x4 Ranchers and one 250 Fourtrax. One of the 4x4 is broken. It gets stuck in gear and the display panel flashes for whatever gear it is stuck in. My younger brother was riding it and kept clicking through the gears real fast. He has a habit of breaking everything he touches.

Countyroad,
Which model is broken? Do you want to sell it?

The Rancher 4x4, I believe ES. No we're not interested in selling it. We're going to have a friend look it over. If that doesn't work then we'll take it to All-Season's.

Well I've posted this before so here goes again. IF you read Dort Wheels Magazine and ATV Action, They do shootouts to decide which 4 wheelers are best overall. They compete against each other in there classes. So far
# 1 Suzuki Ozark 250
# 1Suzuki Eiger 400
# 1Suzuki Vinson 500
# 1Suzuki King Quad 700

See a pattern here ?

I have the Vinson 500 Auto Limited Edition and love it.

Kawasaki Praire (650)- Handles great on the trails and has plenty of power for working or keeping up with your sport bike friends. Ride one once and you'll be hooked!! Good luck Steve,

4x4's are for lazy riders who can not ride a 2wd good enough..:D Just kidding guys... I ride 2wds, but my cousin has a polaris 500... has not had any real problems with it... little heavy... I rode with some buddies this summer at wayne national , that has the kawasaki prarrie 650 and 700's... Those things rock! They seem to do alot better that the yamaha grizzlies we were with.. Less problems with the radiator design... And you have to love that v-twin power! If I were to buy a 4x4 it would be a v-twin for sure...
