I saw a least 50 deer this evening and not a one had a set of antlers. Several were pretty good size so I figured a few were bucks that have already shed them. Got meat in the freezer so it doesn't matter. :)

Since I bagged 3 bucks and 3 does hunting in 3 states this year. I will eat my doe tag in Ohio. With 10 inch. of snow on the ground and real cold outside I think I'll put another log on the fire. And dream of spring gobblers.

Didn't see a thing on Saturday or Sunday. Not even tracks in the snow (except coyote, fox and turkey)
I'm telling' ya, it was just a weird season down in Noble County. The deer were not there like in seasons past.
Got an early doe here at home so I'm very happy.

I am already getting ready for next season. I was out Saturday knocking on doors trying to locate new hunting grounds. I did find some new places for turkey but still looking for deer hunting property. I am counting down the days.

There is no "off season" for us diehard outdoorsman(thats everyone on this site) . Thats the beuaty of Ohio hunting and fishing. There is always somthing in season, and always somthing to look forward to. Thats why there is no other sport that can hold a candle to the great outdoors!!!
I passed up on three does on saturday... This one was begging to be shot.. she stuck around for about an hour and a half.. She got within about 25 yards of me again after I had lowered my bow down... Being the last hunt I would be putting in there, I was not worried about spooking her.. I started barking like a dog, got a look, but no reaction..So I decided I would just climb down as I was cold.. She just stood there and watched me climb down!.. Then she started feeding again in the field.. I called my dad to tell him, and she got within about 12 yards of me, while I was behind a mound of dirt... Had never seen anything like that before.

Well I finished up at about 5:00 on sunday with a fat doe,I had seen about 40-50 deer in the last 3 days and none had horns so waited till I got a good shot at what I new was a doe and WHACK double lung boogie!!!!
That brings the total to 5...
4-does in ohio and pa
1-4x3 mule deer buck in montana.
all in all it was a good year, I had chances at good bucks here but just did not "get er done" and I got to live my dream to hunt elk and deer in montana, so on to steelheads and turkey then deer season will find me in kentucky and illinois as well as ohio and pa
I would like to thank god for a safe and wonderfull season and wish the same to you all.......jimbob
