Hey Muzzy Man.
I have owned a Mathews Z-Max since 1998. This thing is awesome. I never had any issues with it at all. It is very fast and accurate. My bow gets serviced each year, a string and lite tune and your back in your tree stand. BUY IT !! You will not be sorry.

You can still get basic things for it. If you blow a limb our probably going to be SOL though.
However I say get it. You WONT be disapointed. Remember, there are those who shoot a Mathews and then there are those who wish they shot one...;)

Had one back in the day... Excellent shooter, I swapped mine for an MQ-1 when they came out. I liked the Z-max better, you should be able to pick one up pretty reasonable.

You get what you pay for. Mathews tend to hold a fair re-sale value.
