Doesn't look like I will be able to get out this Spring. I just lost my hunting grounds and haven't been able to come up with another place yet. I am still looking, but it doesn't look good so far. Good luck to all of you who will be going.

Hitting the roads after duck season to pick up some new spots to hunt. Will mostly be in Vinton County but will be knocking on doors in Jackson some this year as well.

I'll probably be hunting Elliot Co Kentucky before Ohio's opener. We'll have to see how the plans shake out. I actually don't know if I'll buy a tag for Ohio this year. I just don't have good spots in Ohio.

KY opens on either the 15th or 16th. I know it coincides with Ohio youth season so I thought it would be even more ideal to just go on down there. I hope it works out that I can hunt down there this year. We will see.

CatDaddy........yep I hunt with a "mighty 10"......have a Browning Gold Stalker Semi-Auto.......and a few SxS 10's that are about 60-70 years old now!
A 10 bore aint for everybody but I like them........personally I think it is one of those gauges, like 16's and 28's that don't get the props they deserve. I own about every "gauge" (or caliber) they still sell ammo for and some they don't! My three favorite are 10, 16 & 28....and if you guessed it I'm a reloader, too! I shoot 12's and 20's as well but like to choose which gun or gauge I want for a specific hunt.

Where are some good places to hunt turkey in northeast Ohio? I live in Summit County and hunt deer on private land, but the turkey population there is pretty sparse. What do you all recommend?

Anywhere around LaDue is good.

I've heard Ashtabula has some good numbers. What about public land? Probably a lot of hunting pressure?

Good old Monroe County is where I hunt. The longbeard action is great!!
I was deer hunting this weekend in Washington County... Kicked up a flock of between 30-50.. Saw some LONG beards in among them... My dad kicked the same flock up yestyerday.. They are all big birds....
