Soup Fog with about 100-125' of Vis all day today ... I drove out to chippewa point to see if the main lake ice had broke up yet ... solid out as far I could see which was limited with the fog;)
-I walked out on the channel ice & exchanged/swapped props on my boat this afternoon ... seems solid w/melted edges & the lake is droppin' from near flood stage yesterday...

The South Fork GMR @ Moundwood is flowin' high n' muddy this afternoon with a large tree or log jam just downstream from the ramps... the ice hasn't broke-up yet on the main ~ the southside has the fog today...

Yesterday/Sunday afternoon, there were quite a few guys fishin' the open lake at LV, with the basin still frozen, but it probably has thawed today. I didn't stop to check them out though ~ the lake has dropped a foot & back close to normal, but it's still flooded below the dam. Moundwood is muddy as krap, but the LVB area looks good ... winter is supposed to slam us hard again shortly, so don't get cabin fever if-in' you get holed-up @ home n' go Stir-Krazy :-) I'm still tryin' to get my life back to normal after mother nature's repeated punches...

Well we had one just before the ice storm & the lake is back in the northside yards again this afternoon ... I hope they finally get the time-warner cable lines repaired before long cuz I hate rabbit ears & twistin' them around for the couple of channels that we can get:(
It's been a long krazy winter already with a week n' a half of Ice-fishin' back in December & now 60 degrees with a flood ... this is choice:confused:

I didn't leave the house today to see if the main skimmed over last nite, but the lake is within a few inches of a normal pool again ~ Yesterday's ice ring on the dock posts are about 5"es in the air this afternoon ... the channels should be ready to go easy in another day or so with these temps -- NF & SF might be the only dirty water areas by the weekend .... I would imagine location will be the name of the game with the krazy temps & water levels over the last couple of weeks...
-take care n' jig 'em up!!!:)
plan on goin' to the southside tomorrow, if I see anything I'll post.

It would be nice for me if moundwood would stay open till after friday so I would have something to do and somewhere to go.

The SF @ Moundwood is even froze under the bridge ... the only open water I seen was just below the spillway & the flooded area below IL is all froze over - roads n' all in one vast sheet of ice...
-maybe grab a bucket with warm clothes n' see if John will drill you a couple of holes n' become Hardwater Bill...
