I dont know about john boats.....if your gonna stand up in it I would get a deep V or a bass boat! I had a john boat once and had it flip on me...

If your ever back in Central Ohio bring that sucker up and we'll shoot some of those "***** sharks" in Buckeye Ocean. I have my Grand Pappy's 18' bass boat he willed to me. We can have a blast!! I'll be your captian and you can do the shootin!!

They have a duck boat at Buckeye Outdoors that looks pretty trick. That thing is wide as heck, it looks like it would be pretty stable on the water. If I ever am in the market for a second boat I would definetly consider one!!

Bowfishing is a great sport. Most places in Ohio, you don't need a boat. I have killed more and bigger fish without one. I sold my carp boat last spring.

What kind of reel did you get? I hope it was the Retriever. They are the ultimate bowfishing reel!
