DIY underground Invisible dog fence

Does anybody have or use underground Invisible fence. I should have new ESS sometime this spring and like dog have freedom to run but at same time stay in my backyard aprox ½ acre.
I have no problem renting small trencher and laying wire however I’m worried about durability and how long it will last and effectiveness for all my work.
Any information advice would be very helpful.

A friend of mine has had one in the ground for 4-yrs, no problems.

Underground fence works 99% of the time.Remember they may keep your dog in but they won't keep other dogs's out.-----Best is a fenced in yard or kennel.
