Just to let all our friends at Ohio Sportsman know that Saturday's episode of the Buckeye Angler on PBS (45/49) at 430pm might well relieve some of the current cabin fever we're all suffering from. This one will be on topwater bass fishing and we think you'll find it very entertaining and revealing.

Thanks to all the Ohio Sportsman members who contacted us about the northern pike show, and particularly noted the sizes of some of the fish. We're currently working to get even more copies of the show made available and will also let your folks know when the repeat may run.

Thanks again,
Gary Kiser

Was it on? There was something else listed. I was going to check in anyhow, but at the last minute the newspaper called and they had lost my column for Sunday. Panic! Sent a new one via e-mail!

Sure sorry to miss it as I was in the video business and know how hard it is to do fishing videos.

Sorry to report that the "Buckeye Angler" was pre-empted both the last two weeks of its fall run by PBS during its pledge run, when they only run shows the station actually owns.We had little warning, and neither did the papers.Your moderator I'm sure feels its ok to refer you to our website:buckeyeangler.com, as it is a non-competing site and, in fact , we'll soon be partnering with ohiosportsman!Very excited about this and you guys(us guys!)will stay well appraised of the upcoming tv schedule and my regular columns for Record Publishing and "Midwest Outdoors"magazine will always be posted here first. We look forward to getting to know those of you we don't already know as soon as possible. In the meantime, you might let PBS(330-677-4549)know if you like the idea of the show and ,who can tell about future guests, etc.?We at Buckeye Angler Multi-Media feel there is great potential for all of us here-
thanks so much,

Jack,
If you like I can give you a link on our club website www.lowellville-rod-gun.com.

I understand about the vagaries of PBS. Spent 3 weeks in Russia directing for a NOVA show and they can demand a lot. I once owned a company called Harding Productions until I sold it and finally retired to just do a bit of outdoor writing to buy ammo and fishing stuff.:D

Good luck Gary. Sounds like a win-win.

PS. Buckmaster's always free to help film or guide a hunt.

Hey,

Thanks for all of the kind words...and yes..it's a pain producing a show and making it look fun. Following Jack around in a boat 'fishing' with a camera can be a chore, especially when the stars of the show aren't biting. As always, we can use the help producing future programs and segments and it will be great meeting everyone!

Talk soon.
