I just made a mock scrape and rubs out front of my property in the funnel leading to and from the soybean field. My man made blind is smack dab in the middle.
I'd like to get a buck on my property. That would make my year......no matter how big he is.

Jimmy, I made about 6 mock scrapes with a licking branch and 3 of the 6 are taken over by bucks....But the bucks are hitting them at night...Do you have any food plots on your property? I have a small clover plot, a small x treme plot and I planted some turnups....I have does in my plots all night (i know that cause of my trail cam)...also medium to small bucks are there at night too....Im starting to see the deer before dark now....Have food and they will come....

I don't have any food plots but I do have a soybean field on one side of me and a grass field on the other side of our neighbor's woods.
Let me explain. We have 10 acres. We have a tree line out front that is about 30 yards wide and the deer travel from (and to) a set of woods that is linked to a soybean field right now. It hasn't been harvested as of yet (I don't know why). I have harvested 2 deer from this funnel in the last 2 years. My first and third. Both does.
I'm thinking of planting something in the space between our house and this funnel to bring in more deer. What? I'm not sure.
Behind our house, we have a field filled with weeds that is not owned by us but is highly traveled by deer. That is where I saw the buck on Friday. A good bedding place for the local Marysville deer. I do have permission to hunt it if I feel the need. But the wind is never in my favor and choose to hunt out front. Hit and miss, I guess.
Last year when I got my doe, I had their pattern down to the day and half hour. I got my deer exactly when and where I knew it would happen. Made me feel good knowing that the time I put in was worth it. This year has been tricky, though. I'll figure it out.
