Getting closer boys. We need to figure out some meals and what we are going to be bringing! I was thinking about getting some more of them chicken wings we had last year. Wicker nut is bringing ribs and chicken I think. We have plenty of venison so far this year adn probably some more soon from Ray cheese. What are yer guyses thoughts on that whole mess. Spitter, you bringing some trout this year? You can leave the trouser trout at home though. Unless Wick wants some.

What the !?
Where have you two been hiding?
Hoytme2
10-18-2004, 04:25 PM
We've been hiding in the dark together. You know, ever since our "accident". Sorry, sometimes your best friends suffer the most in relationships like this. Ready to do some hunting with you boys this year. Spiter, dont forget your bow.
Spitfire
10-19-2004, 07:51 AM
I don't want to know what you guys do in the dark!!!! Oh yea, after that comment, I'm not sleeping in the same room w/ you this year! LOL:D
I will bring the bow this year! It was intentionally left at home last year. We are going to get some hunting done so we have to take it easy on the suds atleast until the last night.
I think Jon is bringing the Trouser Trout!!!!
I am bringing the trout and some homemade venison breakfast sausage. 5lbs of sausage enough?
Spitfire
10-19-2004, 08:17 AM
Ray is going to do Homemade Spaghetti again this year.
Hoytme2
10-19-2004, 12:47 PM
Yeah that sounds good to me. I just made 10 lbs. the other night from a mix I got from LEM. Man is it gooooood. We need to put sausage gravy and biscuits on the breakfast list for one of the mid morning gorging sessions. Just need to figure out what DJ is going to be bringing other than his faygo pop and his big brown truck gear.
rjolenic
10-19-2004, 12:52 PM
Who's DJ? Oh, DJ Ladin! The wheels on the big brown truck go round and round, round and round, round and round. Oh boy ................
Spitfire
10-19-2004, 01:04 PM
OH S**T, not D.J. Ladin!!!!!! The BIG Brown Truck needs to be driven to camp this year. That would be freaking hilarious! Sausage/Gravy and Biscuits sound good for a GORGE session. We could have that after a morning hunt one day.
Speaking of Mr. LAdin, has anyone talked to him since last year?
fox hunter
10-19-2004, 01:08 PM

Get off on Exit 176 at Parkersburg. Head West on U.S. 50 until you get to Athens. When you reach the U.S.33 and S.R. 682 exit turn right onto S.R. 682. S.R. 682 will take you to S.R. 56 (approx. 2 miles), stay on 56 for approx 12.5 miles until you reach the S.R. 278 intersection. Turn left onto S.R. 278 and drive until you reach the main entrance to Lake Hope State Park.
Hope these directions help Thunderflight!!
It was under "The Official Deer Camp Countdown" page. 14

They like to sleep together! With their cowboy hats on. I cant wait for camp! What about extenting it to a full week next year? Not all of us need to be there the whole week but if some are interested and Sweet JB isn't gettin married, I would like to extend it by a couple of days.
Spitfire
10-21-2004, 12:04 PM
Thunderflight,
the first direction from Parkersburg Exit to Lake Hope is 59.3 miles and will take you approx 1hr. 28min.
The second set of directions from Ripley WV to Zaleski is 78.47 miles and will take approx. 1hr. and 51min.
Of course these are times calculated with the legal speed limits. Knowing that you are a Marine you can "double-time" and make in half the allotted time given.:D I'll personally fill your gas tank!!

It's all goooooooood !!!!!!!!
We're doing both! You need good hearty food when you hunting hard in them hills!!!
Sorry to butt in but the coon thing is too funny. I did that to a guy in my wedding party who passed out way to early. I was pretty drunk, and wanted to liven up the campsite, so I took a bag of doritos and made a trail from the woods to his tent, unzipped the door and dumped the rest in the tent. he woke up to a bunch of ruckus in his tent, but drunkly went back to sleep. In the AM all he had in his tent was a bunch of crumbs. I nearly pissed my pants when he told me he thought there was something in his tent the nite b4.:D

By the way the shirts came out awesome! One huge draw back is that the silk screener gave us the wrong sizes. I ordered a couple XXL's and the rest XL. Well, he shipped the XXL's , but the rest were large. None of us can squeeze into a large, not even me. I tried one on and I look like a fat guy in a little coat wearing the thing. He is re-doing the XL's and I should have them Monday, I hope.
