Three of us camped at Lake Hope campground this weekend. All I can say is wet and windy. For those of you who are going down this week the campground was full by Friday night. I don't know if it was on account of a hike going on or what. Luckily we made reservations or we wouldn't have gotten an electric site. The hunting was ok. Saw mostly does. We did see one nice buck off of King Hollow road. It looked like most of the deer were still moving at night. All the fields were loaded with deer. We saw 16 of them in one field. For those of you who are going to hunt down there, check the boundary markers close as to which areas allow hunting. They are not having the bow only area around the lake this year. Also they moved some no hunting areas. Took a couple of rides through the Waterloo area and did not see anyone hunting there Friday or Saturday. Did see a few turkeys around but no shots.
