Ohio bowhunter drops a massive grizzly bear at 25 yards
http://www.bowhuntingmag.com/photos/TPgibson_0807A.jpg
NAME: Robert Gibson
WHERE FROM: Kettering, OH

HARVESTED: Quesnel Lake, British Columbia, Canada

TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: Hoyt USA Vortec Compound bow

SPECIES TYPE: Mountain Grizzly Bear

SIZE AND WEIGHT: skull measured 23 inches and hide squared 8 feet

DESCRIPTION: My guide and I stalked to within 25 yards of this large grizzly boar as he fed on a mountain slope. I fortunately made a single double lung shot as the bear traveled no more than 30 yards before dropping in clear view. Immediately after harvesting this bear, two more large grizzlies descended the slope towards us before we were able to scare them off.

Man this is awesome.

I wonder what he does for a living? The hunt alone is over $10,000.

Measurements are taken with calipers or by using parallel perpendiculars, to the nearest one-sixteenth of an inch. For example, if the skull length measures 11 and 2/16 inches, you would enter 11 2/16 in the space provided.
