Need Some Advice

Today I found 3 scrapes and I put Jackies doe pee in them. Should have I done that ? Should I do it again tomorrow or use Tinks buck lure or just leave them alone and hunt close to them.................Thanks...................Rich

I made my own scrape. I just raked the dirt up near a trail near my stand about 1 week ago. Tonight I added some Doe Urine and Tinks Doe in Rut to it and scraped it all together, as well as broke the branch above it while wearing rubber gloves. I've never tried this, so I'll let you know too.
I noticed more scraping activity picking up. One scrape I go by has been opened up since the season opened, but has tripled in size in the last 5 days. I've seen two bucks at it.

Next weekend those bucks should be really revved up! I got Friday off and I will be hitting the private farm I got access too. It is buck time now!!!!

As far as foolin with the scrapes I don't do that. A buck makes a scrape in his domain and primarily checks it from down wind. He doesn't always go right to it, but will circle downwind and scent check. I don't think scrapes have much to do with doe at all. I think they are primarily a buck territorial thing. I could be wrong? I hunt scrapes every once in awhile, but I don't fool with them at all as that is his deal and I don't want to mess it up.

It won't matter. I've made hundreds of scrapes by scratching the ground up and taking a leak in them. The deer have always taken them over.

sometimes here in ohio where i hunt deer actually do what nature intended an it does make sense butt the buck tuh doe ratio is so out of wack they dont have tuh go thru all the mumbo jumbo that nature intended tuh protect an insure a healthy herd an therein lies another problem,the big healthy boys that should be doing the breeding,there is just too many does an the few bucks got plenty doe tuh go around if not too many,so they make scrapes butt abandon them cause theres just too much breedin going on tuh worry bout keepin a scrape open,they play the scrape an check bit an they will lose out tuh slick willy who sez heck with that stuff,i'm just cuttin that out cause i dont need it tuh git a date an then theres so many doe tuh go round the unhealthy runt will git his share too as the fewer big boys is just overwelmed an" roy the runt" gits the others(DOE) before big boy gits around for them,so there just isnt any reason or time tuh waste scrapin or fighten for the breedin rights cause while two big boys duke it out slick willies slinks aroun makin more babies,so nobuddy needs tuh be fighten cause theres just too many hot babes tuh do hanky panky with,in most places in ohio the doe tuh buck ratio is just wat too far outta wack,maybe 10-20 doe tuh one buck,bring that down tuh 5-1 or less an holy smokes look out charlie,they will be doing what they were intended that insures a long livin,healthy herd,the big healty,strongest an meanest big boy was intended tuh pass on the genes creatin the perfect whitetail deer herd an that aint happinin tuhday...
