I was up at Pike Island the other day and my beloved catfish are slowing down so I put on the waders and started at the tailwaters and went down the nearly mile long rip-rap shore with a collection of twister tails and rapala's, hitting every point and wing dam. The result was about 10 sauger, 4 walleye and a couple saugeye, the biggest fish being a 3 1/2 pound walleye. I've fished this pattern the last 3 years and it seems to peak in November, at night, I start around 9.
