3-D Shoots, Anybody interested?

January 12, @ Twin Cedars. Located between Zanesville & New Lexington (crooksville) They have 35 targets and some real hilly terrain. Registration is 8am-1pm, cost is $8.

January 19, @ Wyandot Archers. Located Southeast of Upper Sandusky. They have 30 targets and registration is from 10am-1pm. Cost is $7.

If anyone is interested let me know cause I am going to one of them. It will probably be Wyandot since I have never been there before. It doesnt seem to awful hard to get there, and it is a little over an hour drive from my house. We need some type of 3-D schedule on this site, similar to the one the other site has.

looking for feathers (4 inch) Shoot, the other day I bought 38 feathers (barred) for my arrows to refletch and it cost me $25.00 with a roll of Bohning fletching tape, does that sound high to you???

i get mine from lancaster or cabelas.its around 25.00 but you get 50 feathers not 38.

Cabelas here ,But also lancaster archery have not tried fs discount.Also had a hell of a time finding the new gateway new purple feathers and had a buddy get them for me and at a good price to boot.;)

I know, the only hting is that I always practice the way I hunt. And with the way I stack em, I have to always be re fletching my arrows. :D

I practice how I hunt, therefore maybe 3d shoots aren't really for me! What do you think ??

We practice how we hunt also and 3-D is the ticket. Your not shooting broadheads though, thats the one difference. As far as yardage estimation and just the overall practice of everything becoming automatic when the moment of truth arrives, you cant beat 3-D shoots. Alot of guys are in it for the High scores and the money, but we have always looked at as good hunting practice. Who cares if its not in the 12 ring, as long as it would have killed a deer is all that matters. Dont get me wrong, I like to shoot high scores but i'm not bummin if I dont. It's great practice, I would encourage anyone to do it.

Your done hunting already? Those deer should be getting back to their feeding patterns anytime. I think I am going rabbit and pheasant hunting this weekend sometime but if you guys want to go out and give the deer a try i'll go with the video camera. The spot I shot my buck and the spot I got the video of the monster 8pt. would be where I'd go. Maybe even by the stone quarry, although I haven;t seen any deer there in the last few days. Just let me know.

Right now Carbon Express 200 but I have some Easton Redlines here that I want to try out also. I could get that speed up higher if I had dual cams. I think I am going to look into getting some cams for that Cougar. I can't wait to see what happens on a 3-D course. Right now I like how it shoots but shooting 3-D might be a little different.

I doubt it, that is hard to do. The closest I have came without scoring 12's is 293 and I shot that at St. Marys 3yrs. ago. It was one of those days that every time i pulled back the pin just sat there on the target and didn't move. It was really weird cause I haven't had that feeling since that day. I would still be shooting aluminum if not for shooting all three legs of the Triple Crown.

when spitfire arrow hit the target it makes one heck of a thump. you think he was shooting over 300fps, but he isn't.

at 60# i am shooting 285 and his bow shounds like it is shooting alot faster then mine

Not a chance! Mathews is way overrated in my opinion. I would venture to say alot of guys shoot Mathews because every Tom, Dick & Harry shoots it. I shoot Martin cause that is what I have shot for 25yrs. & don't see any need for change. I see my Martin out shoot alot of Mathews at every shoot. But, like I have always said "its not the bow that makes the shooter, its the shooter that makes the bow"!

I don't know, Wal-mart sell's pretty good bows these days. Dude, you haven't seen some of the guys that have been to the club in the last few years. THere are guys that have the best equipment money can buy and my son can shoot better than them. I could out shoot them with my dad's old 1980 Martin Cougar.

I would like to know where a good place to start 3-d shotting at? I think I would like to try. I have a Browning Phinox and have shot in a couple of leagues when I lived in troy. Would this be alright to start with. I also hunt with this bow.
