Oh, if only had the money. This is a real nice looking parcel and it is only about 400 yards from my house. That would be a short move!
Check it out at:
http://www.century21.com/buy/property_detail.aspx?teasers=property-detail-pic+Property+Detail+with+Pictures&tr_key=30994806&bSite=N
In case the link doesn't work, it is listed with Century 21 and is MLS# 2439508.
I will check it and if link doesn't work I can download the photo. Nice 60 acres for sure!!!

I'm 22 and my goal is to own my own land to hunt on someday. Land prices will continue to sky rocket. Which makes land a great investment. That's why I started saving 3 years ago and became a Finance major in college. I just finished college a month ago and I can't wait to learn even more and to help others set up financial plans. I've been interviewing for financial advisor positions.

Its 60 acres for $ 225,000= $ 3,750/acre
Up here in Portage Co. they are getting $ 10,000-25,000/acre.

You can't beat the investment of owning property. I bought my large track back in '96 for $500/acre. I bought another adjacent smaller track in '01 for 3,000/acre. I know prices now in the same area are 4-6K / acre. Access, frontage, utilities, and timber all play a part in the cost.

If you look around at land prices TODAY anywhere in Ohio $3750/acre is a good buy. Also, this land is within 30 min drive of Columbus, and the central Ohio area usually sees prices closer to 5 to 10 grand per acre some neighborhoods it goes as high as 45 to 50 grand per acre. One more point is that for all the central Ohio countys that include and border Franklin this one has the lowest property taxes. If I found a deal this good about 2 years from now, I would be on it!!!

I found 2 more sweet lots in this area. One is about 25 acres for 150,000.00 and the other is 21 acres for about 80,000.00. Not bad at all for this area. I just can't swing it yet.
