Hello all,
I'm new to the Col. area and am looking for some places to do some goose and duck hunting. I'm just starting to get into duck hunting and don't know where to go around the Col. area. Also I'm willing to travel a little ways to get where I can do some shooting. I know Alum and Del are open but is there any other areas available around.
Thanks,
Ray

I've never been to the mighty river, but I had a friend who swore by the Scioto right there in your new backyard!

Check with some locals, your game warden, and do some scouting for a few good locations.

I've always wanted to hunt it but never did, so I cant be of any help on exact locations.

Indian Lake has some decent hunting just down St. Rte. 33, West of you.

Ray,

My dad and I used to duck hunt at Buckeye lake. It's probably about an hour from Columbus.

Your best bet for state land is the scioto river, buckeye lake(avoid weekends), and alum creek. As far as private lands go you'll probably have to hit the road and scout. Most waterfowl hunters are pretty anal about telling the hot spots, especially in a populated place like Columbus. Good luck!
