I want to get the old tub out on the water one more time before bow season and also before it gets cold. Does anyone know the condition of the lake?? Also are the crappies biteing?? Any info will be useful THANKS!!!!!

Funny you should ask.Me and bro inlaw went out last night to saltfork. the only ramp doable was the one by the cabins,and it was trickey but not that bad.Needless to say water is still high,but dropping.We didnt go for crappie so cant help ya there.But man did we get into some flatheads using live bluegill,both on the bottom and under a large slip bobber. biggest one was 15 LBS, others 8 LBS, 5 LBSand 4 LBS. man what a night!!!

Was the water muddy or clear?? That sounds fun with the old flatheads. Its nice to hear guys who has good luck!!

Wasnt muddy,but wasnt clear.Sorry icant explain it better.Im new to ohio and this lake.Brother inlaw might have a better answer but i cant get in touch him at this time.Maybe still sleeping,it was a late night LOL.

It never is a crystal clear lake (There aint many of those here in Ohio) But I was just wondering if it was so muddy your lure disapered 2" into the water!!

I could see those cats big fat head about foot down when bringing em to the boat.
