IL crappie tourney

Mikes bait shoip at Indian Lake is having a crappie tourney on Saturdays starting Sept 25th. They are from 8am to 2 pm. Entry fee is $20 and $5 for big fish. Mikes number is 937-843-2261. You can fish single or as a team. Can only weigh in 10 live fish. You can fish from bank or boat.

Stopped by Mikes Saturday to see how the tourney turned out. I think 9.1 lbs won it. Big fish was .98 lbs. Mike said just about every team caught around 50 crappies. He said he is having one every Saturday until it gets to cold.

Thanks for the crappie update John -- I passed it on to Ole' Web yesterday when he came in with only one Bull Gill, but he's glued into findin' the fall Bulls in no#s for the freezer & says the spring Crappie smell n' taste better:eek: :rolleyes: :D

I don't eat either, but enjoy the fact that crappie are better lure chasers than meat lovin' Gills;)
