The Campfire hasn't really ever goten too much use from what I can tell. Maybe we should keep track of how many conversations members have had there to give them an incentive. Seems to me sometime people on this site post to keep their numbers up. Kinda like it's a contest to see who can have the most posts'.

Heck, I see how that lil' sucker works now ... I been outta there for a half hour n' it says I'm still in there n' I'm on the outside lookin' in! :D
We could have some structure to it, like say have chat sessions on a certain nite and time. just a suggestion

That is a good idea XX78. I think it would be cool to have a different theme for each chat session as well. Maybe, every Thursday night we schedule a chat session and then that way what is discussed, tips, tactics, techniques, gear or whatever could be used, tried or checked out that weekend. For example, one Thursday in September the topic might be dove hotspots, then last Thursday in Sept could be early season deer set-ups. Then, the rut. Then, fall walleye patterns. Then, river run steelhead action and so on and so. It might even boost membership and/or member participation. It's just a thought.

The way this feature has really gotten cooking on other sites was doing just that. Come up with a popular time and day and hold a scheduled chat. When you get 10+ people in there it can be really fun.

I'm up for it.
I like the real time chatting. It's a lot more nice to have a hole discussion in 10 or twenty minutes as opposed to taking several days 1 post at a time.
Although I wouldnt want to do away with the boards thats for sure!
