Usually head for Grand Lake St. Marys in October-November for when the perch roll in. Last year I followed as usual & did well on the west bank at Celina but heard all the stories for the 1st time that walleye were on the bite earlier in the fall at the spillway. Anyone know when they started in? Could you not use a boat & troll or drift along the west bank for them at the time they appear in the spillway? Thanks ahead of time!
Note: The only time I was down that way was to Van Wert & the south reservoir last Friday. Marked a lot of fish, but didn't do well-1 perch, 1 cat, and a mess of smaller crappie&gills. The word around was however that they had been hitting the crappie & recently nice perch! (Of course, not on my day there!)
Thanks ahead of time for any word on the GLSM eyes.

I remember readin' reports about some good walleye catches "below" the dam in the river last fall & havin' parkin'/access problems ... maybe one of the St Marys guys will reply...
