Indian Lake (Logan County) - Saugeye are beginning to move deeper. Try fishing the top of the thermocline at the old Indian Lake (east side) portion of the lake. Many good largemouth bass can be caught using plastic worms and tube baits.

*** A nearly seven pound bass was caught in June ***
(that would be a 8-9 lb March Hog!!!)

Channel catfish should be active. Fish the channel openings containing current. Pieces of fresh gizzard shad or chicken liver make the best bait.

952,000 saugeye fingerlings (1 ½”) were stocked in late May.

by the time I figure out those saugeye hopefully a couple will be left and eating size.

Haven't hammered the shore line in a long time, either too tired or catfishing or bass fishing.

heheh ~ Bill, they'll be smelt next year & the followin' year dinks - so ya got 3 years to practice your slingin' on the older ones a-swimmin' around till then :)

yeah, I believe it is a go with both of us. I guess we better figure out when before too late huh. Unless your leg it too sore and you are not up for it. We are on your time so let us know when it works out for you.

-don't matter to me .. any of the 3 days between noon & dusk is OK with me ... you bring the choppin' board, meat n' shark hooks & raybob will put a line out too where-ever you guys wanna go except under dream bridge if it's hot out n' a-drippin' tar .. Web had a cleanup mess in his toon a 11am a few weeks ago -heheh:D

-probably be my last day trips out on IL till after hayfever season n' I get a charge outta yankin' those dang circle hooks besides good company!:)
