Taint been out for a spell w/lil' visitors n' a bucket tear to the ole' knee cartilage .. twas kinda thinkin' that these cooler day n' nite temps might have put a few eyes in the day munchin' mood?? So, has anyone been out in the last week or so??

-Gonna Limp n' Gimp out to the Beater I-boat mid-week when the weather stabilizes & see if the leg will allow me to get into the beater to give it a check...

Hey Ray sorry about your knee. I haven't been to IL for awhile but I did hit Alum Saturday, it was slow. We did get a few eyes but no size and no pattern . Tried drifting worm harnesses.

Thanks John ... usually this time of year there are a few good fish to be caught strag fishin' stumps n' mud-lines w/PBs to pass the time in the daylite hours for something to do without messin' with the IL smelt...

Mother nature has really been throwin' some curve balls with her weather patterns for about 3 yrs now -from droughts, floods, northwinds/cold-fronts n' you name it, but it just adds character n' new skills to my MO -heheh:)

-just curious Harry, but does Oshay get heavy mayfly hatches from time-to-time?? Also, if it's sunny out -by afternoon the A-bloom will be it's heaviest along the breezy shorelines w/shad n' fry, -by low-lite/dark some active feeders might jump on your one in a million bait ... I hate day fishin' for neutral/inactive fish, glad I don't tourney fish anymore tryin' to force-feed them and now do my thing in tune with the ebbs n' flows of their lil' desires...

I haven't been out lately. I have been too busy working and saving my money for big investments down the road. It's going to be a wild fall for me! I can't wait.

I really ought to get out and do some night fishing for some big ole channel cats. They love to prowl the shallow flats this time of year.

Tried the eyes early today on IL but didn't do any good so I went to my old standby the faithfull bluegill. I did manage some of them so I didn't go fishless. Sure was a beauty of a day, almost like September.
