Anyone fish the Mohican River? What kind of fish does it hold? Any good pointers?

i have read its a goog river to float for smallmouth bass

I know it's a relatively shallow and clear river. It should hold some nice smallmouth bass, but I am not sure if it has trout and such. This is a great time of year for wading those shallow rivers and casting little spinners such as a mepps or a rooster tail. Take some bug spray! lol

Thats cool. How bout a slightly downsized carolina rig, bouncin them off the rocks if the current is slow enough. I'll be sure to check the box for some small spinners. Not gonna do a lot of fishin but I will be on its bank for the weekend.

The clear fork of the mohican has a good amount of brown trout. i catch some smallmouth but most of then are very small, like 6 inches
