Anyone have information about Hoover Resevoir? Is it still high? What about water temps and clarity? Anyone catching down that way?

as of my trip yesterday,it's still high, but dropping.that doesn't affect fishing or launching.water's stained with about 1-2 feet vis.
temps are mid 70's.
plenty of eyes are being caught.crappies and white bass should be hitting if you can find them.look for them to be suspended in water to 20 feet during the day.

Thanks for the Info Rick. I'll get out this today. I just can't figure out where I will end up. It will either be Alum Creek, Hoover, or Clear Fork.

if you did hoover today, you most likely found that the bite was way slow:(
unless you got lucky.
we only got a few and they were hard to come by.we fished several usually productive spots all day, with the biggest fish being 14 1/2 inches:rolleyes:
some guys were pre fishing for tomorrow's tourney, and if someone didn't find a good pattern, and it's as tough tomorrow, the weigh in will be interesting.
how about a report on your success.

Right on Rick! It was my uncle's first time on Hoover with his boat so we struggled. He has fished it several times, but not as operator of the boat so we zigged zagged back and forth across the break lines and stuff but over all it was ok. He knows the good general areas he just needs to learn the contours a little better. Anyway, we caught 5 dink saugeye a few crappie. Had a nice one on for about 30 seconds and it got off? I didn't know there was a tournament down there today? It would be interesting to check out the weigh in. Do you know when and where?

i had a slow day,as with most people.lost one nice fish(pushing 4 pounds) before i could get the net to it.caught a few smaller ones also.
the tourney guys didn't fare too well,as far as size/numbers.
i got to the weigh-in just before they announced results/awards.
first place was 6 fish for a total weight of 7 pounds.
big fish was less than 2 pounds.
i knew if they didn't turn back on,it wasn't gonna take much to win.

I just came from WC & the big pond is slow too except for a fair I-report from over by geneva ... I went out on the busy rough lake & drew a nada in 2 different no-wake zones for a hour or so this afternoon...
Bro..do you remem who took 1st @ hoover??
Thanks, Ray

no,i can't remember who took it.all i remember was that john wouldn't attempt to pronounce one of the last names of the winning team, lol.i only knew a couple guys there, and they weren't them;)
hopefully they'll turn on a little more, tomorrow,as gator is making a trip over from out east, and i'd like to see him get on some fish,to make the drive worthwhile.
