Mosquito Reservoir anglers are catching walleyes in shallow water on jigs tipped with worms and minnows and trolling deeper waters with lead core line and small plugs. Bass are hitting spinnerbaits and buzz baits in the weed beds and plastic worms on the outside edges of the weeds.
LaDue Reservoir is high but is giving up good numbers of walleyes on jig-nightcrawler rigs and weight-forward spinners from close weeds to deep water. Crappies are hugging the bottom in 10 to 14 feet of water. Some largemouth bass are being caught from weed beds.
Pymatuning Reservoir fishing has been slow, but a few muskies have been caught and released in recent weeks . . . Leesville Lake muskies have been hitting diving plugs in shad colors trolled along the outside edges of the weed beds.
