George your showing your age :D It is from the movie 'The Goonies' (a popular movie made in the 80's...cult classic). There is a....hmmm.... "big boned" boy on it named Chunk and he does this dance called the truffle shuffle. Basically he pulls up his shirt and shakes his big bones. :D

No in your previous post you had a typo of calling chuck adams...chunk... That is where I got the reference... Here is a pic of sloth and chunk from the movie but now I am letting this go because I had fun with it but...no one else got the reference...Sorryhttp://www.ohiosportsman.com/photopost/data/504/847chunk_and_sloth.jpg
I still can't believe no one else has seen this movie!

Turkeyfoot,
When I retire can you put in a good word for me? As of this week I'm planning on staying in until I've got 25 or 26 years in. I'd like my second career to be with Cabelas or Bass Pro..... ;)

Appreciate the support, guys! Tf....you can check job postings at all stores by going to their website! Click on "about us" then on "careers". Resume's are even sent in online. Since forced into early retirement (UMWA), I'm looking forward to my second career:cool: 33 yrs of underground mining jobs has been hard on the ole body for sure, this job should be right up my alley;) Cabela's called me back the next day and informed me they were going to switch me from the marine section to the bargain cave area! Don't matter to me, my foots in the door so to speak....TF

That's usually the first place I go when I go to a big outdoor store, the bargain area. I'll probably be swamped at first. You guys betterget there early cause I'll have all the goodies hid in my personal lay-a-way! LOL! I just applied for my Cabela's Visa to make things a tad easier......TF

You better start saving now. My buddy worked at Dicks for a while in the "Lodge". I think he made $ 8/hr. but the things he dragged home were great. $ 10 Rockies, $ 30 Scent Lok, etc.
You'll have all the goodies soon. Congrates.

I wore the soles outta my last set. The tred is still good, but they are peeling apart at the back. I wasn't going to worry about it, but now they are starting to leak.

I wonder what most of these guys (prof hunters) think of alot of the topics that are hot for us i.e. leases, crossbows, etc?
Im sure they don't mind leases since they hunt them and it is the way its done in the southern states. Which most I see are from the south.

I DONT THINK CHUCK HAS MUCH OF A STANCE HOW PEOPLE HUNT,AS long as its done legal an ethical...he has taken many p$y on ranches but duz not enter them.he did not enter many p$y animals when he first started huntin but was highly criticised for not doing it so he started, then he really got in it for the records thing an the slams an first hunter to get all p$y animals of n america, etc.he admits that this was his goals an its his job,an he loves his job.sorta like the bill dance or rowlun martin of fishin.

I believe his pope and young white tails were killed on game ranches in Texas.
