Anybody having any luck fishing for bass on Buckeye Lake?
While I have seen a few people bring a lot of fish in during a tournament I have not been doing that well in all the usually productive spots.

Yea, a carp is a "Buckeye Lake Bass" I have swore off that lake for life!! Unless the water's frozen I'd rather fish in the neighbors goldfish pond!!!

Now that is encouraging! With the price of gas I am spending most of my time on Buckeye.

Now, it's been 20 years since I fished there, but all we ever caught were catfish and carp.

Too many pleasure boats and those G.D jet skis!!! My favorite lake (Salt Fork) is getting worse every year also.

Put a 2 oz sinker on a nice garcia reel and go practice your casting accuracy on pleasure boaters.

There did used to be some good catfishing, but that was only after the lake settled down.

Easy on the pleasure boaters...That is me on occasion. But isn't the pleasure in boating...fishing?
Buckeye stinks for bass. Cats only.
Alum Creek Reservior is getting way to many boats in it. I take my 27' boat and it still fells rough. I couldn't imaging how rough it would be in the bass boat on the weekend. If I do any fishing on Alum with the bass boat it is during the week.

buy a used road king and get a fishing boat. Best of both worlds. For a family go with the boat if you plan on putting all the money towards one.
