buckeye lake carpin' 5/23

since lake erie walleyes were out,and it was too muddy/windy for hoover today,toad and i decided we still needed to get out and fish this afternoon.after discussing our options,we decided a little relaxation in the easy chair was in order,and carpin' seemed to fit the bill.
so we parked our fat butts along fairfield beach,and proceeded to do what we do best(besides bs) ...........catch fish
it wasn't real hot action,but we managed to put 9 smaller carp on the bank,with one missed.digital scales proved them to be from 5 to just shy of 7 pounds,with the biggest(caught by toad) measuring 27 inches.3 small cats also fell for the corn.it was a nice change of pace from our usual eye and crappie fishing from the boats.

Yep it was a lazy day for sure. Good to be out sitting back in a comfy chair solving the worlds problems and other general "BS" :rolleyes: Highlite of the day was a jet boat, V8 with the shiny headers coming up over the motor. As they trying launching and having trouble keeping the motor runninig, there was a scream over the noise of the headers, "WE GOT A LEAK" and then there became a hush across the land. :D :D
Oh I did get a fish ohio carp.

Well I hope it strikes again tomorrow for them n' mother nature gives them a good day ... seems one thing you can count on is that she's a-gonna blow, "but what direction" cuz the forecasters have been missin' the target alot lately on everything:eek: :rolleyes: :D
