hoover sucked today

Was a nice sunny morning so I decided to do some crappie fishin at hoover. I tried at the dam, at the brige that goes accross the resivoir, and at a hole on the back side of the lake. Had 3 bites in 4 hours and caught 1 white bass, that rain the other day must have really turned them off :(

As i sit here talking to my buddy on the phone he is telling me that he is on his way home from hoover ads he caught 45 crappies this evening......said they were really nice fish too...all back to be caught again...eye

Well they were not hitting at all today from 8 am - noon, i asked everyone i saw, only heard of 3 being caught, the evening clouds must have turned them on.

could have just been the different areas you were fishing,
or
if one had a boat it would certainly help on the numbers caught.

I've seen hoover where if you wasn't fishing in a 2 foot square area you wasn't catching anything.

I have heard that they are getting some nice crappies up at North Shore area. I haven't been there myself, but that is the report I got from a friend at work.
