-from a hour ago ...

The main has good color & is up about 3"es from Friday with a few white caps hittin' the Southside bank of the main (forgot to look at the mouth of Blackhawk channels). Old IL looks dingy but not muddy with a strong flow over the dam...

Now for a case of "In-die-gestion" cuz I picked up a order of 10 lbs of Garlic Knockers along with a load of meat for the freezer!!! :D

later Gators ~ if the wind is outta the South to West & under 15 mph I'll be doin' my thing again in the Beater I-Boat for sure, till then Belch, Burp n' Enjoy ~ Ya only go around once in life!:D

Today we had a major bass tourney & the Chippewa ramp trailer parkin' lot was loaded early this morn'. I fished the channel on & off today after mowin' grass this morn' before the afternoon rain hit that seemed to bring the fish in - 2 eater size Eyes, 5 L-Bass, 11-12 Cats & one large Bullhead around 2 lb - also alot of shad body bangin'.

PS .. back to Jigs n' T-Tails ~ no crappie...

No report yet! I suppose I got some travelin to do. Maybe if Misfits has eaten good through the winter I may have enough to market. Let's see.. I need a name. " OLD AND DRIFTY STINK BAIT" Caution: Use of this bait may cause accidents or unforseen misadventures.

With the amount of crappie info. misfit has, this bait may catch more crappie than cats!

Good hatch last nite with gills feastin' on the bodies in the channel this morn'...

I've been trollin' since 10 am this morn' till now, about 5 hrs for deep water dinks - out of 17 Eyes, one might have been 16'es .. everything under 4.5' deep was nada so far today ... the fish I caught were belly rubbin' at 5.5' along the top edge of a 8-10' slot usin' no# 5 raps for the dinks ...

New IL term thet I coined today -- Dink-a-Loos for the pack that was workin' the 16' southbank hole area & keepin' the dinks:rolleyes:  :( ... Krap, I made one pass though there & the lil' water-skiiers were bouncin' on the water behind the PBs ~ t'weren't even dinks or sammy muncher size:D

We need a 20" limit to provide a lil' fun for the few sportsmen left in Ohio!!!
