Leaving Thurs for Texas in pursuit or Gator Gar. Hopefully we'll be able to put together some video of the adventure and get some good pics too. We're flyin down and fishing for 9 days with a friend of Ohioguy.
Along with Gator Gar we should be shooting Grass Carp, Longnose gar, Buffs and Tilapia.

We are gonna be fishing with OhioGuys friend who lives down there. We were gonna drive down and pull one of our boats but his friend offered to take off work and take us fishing in one of his boats so it was pretty stupid of us to turn him down. We woulda wasted at least 2 days driving not to mention we probably spent less on plane tickets than we would have in gas to pull a boat down.

Well guys we had a pretty good trip. The weather was kinda crappy and we only got a few days of good fishing weather but we made due..We took a total of 15 Gator Gar with 2 surpasing the 200# mark, 6-8 or so in the 150-200 range. and pretty all the others except for a few were 100-150.
We also got into a bunch of grass carp and tilaipia but its hard to mess with them when you know there are big fish out deeper. I'll try and post some pics soon but I'm not sure If I have enough space left in my photo album.

I bowfished in the Glades for gar. Man that was a blast. The only reason we did that is because when we were bass fishing we had to hog them in or the gar would tear them to pieces. We remebered to bring gloves the next time we went out:D
