best bet for first time steelheading?

my fishing partner Duane and myself are going to head up north tuesday for an attempt to land our first stream steelhead....any one have any thoughts on our best shot and doing this..Rocky? Grand? Vermilion?
I do not know these rivers at all and have no idea where to access them...we catch & release , so any info will be used for PICTURE keeping..not fish keeping...just want to experience what i hear you guys talk about on this forum...maybe i'll be a converted steelhead nut after this trip??

was just told from a local steelhead nut that with the rains and melting snow that conditions wont be good at all..dang!!
Oh well i'll plan for maybe a week or two coming up if rivers calm back down...thanks for the help anyways guys..THANKS!

Just got back from fishing the V for 2 hours, I'm soaked more then i am when i fall in a river. I caught a few and lost more. Like your friend said the river will be blown out, it was nice this morning thouigh.
