I am not sure where to post this but here it is:
Anyone used a plastic bait called a moon-eyed shad? Think it was an old bait from Mann. Sound familiar. Shad has big yellow eyes with black pupil and flat horizontal tail. I'm looking for some????
I've posted this on WC and have contacted Mann. Young person at Mann said they had never heard of them???

Hard or soft plastic baits??
I've got large eyed rattle trap style lures in one of my boxes that have a flat horiz tail (paddle-like) along with some cranks that have simular paddle tails somewhere .... maybe your mixing the lure color code in with the lure name .. anyhow that's my one penny -- maybe I'll surf around later today ...
later Gator!

Ray, they are platic baits -- maybe 2" - 21/2" , flat like a shad and shad colored with a big round yelow eye with black pupil. tail is turned sideways (horizontal) on end and flat. Buddy is convinced that the eye is the key !!! Don't know but I see him catch a bunch of eyes with that and a stand up type jig :-) He's down to one !!!! and in a panic mode :)

I have 2 of these left out of a half doz, as they are dust collectors for IL use .. I couldn't find the brand on them ... your welcome to them FOC if it's what you are talkin' about -- here's a scanned photo ... now I gotta get around & do the gas up the boat & get ready thingy for today, but this puter is usually on when I pop back into the shack...

That's close Ray, but these are just a plastic like a tube bait. I'll try to remember to take a picture of them this weekend. Thanks for the effort -- catch a bunch of hogs today :-)
Looks like we're gonna have 4 to 6 footers this weekend :-(

I thought you were talkin' about a hard plastic bait till your last reply ~ I do remem a soft plastic simular to the above, but I gave all my bassin' stuff to Bob B the basser in Findlay, except for my spinner bait box, I believe.
